HQ Work Party

What is a Work Party?
It is, unfortunately, not so much a disco party but it will be bringing members of the community together! A work party will allow us to give our HQ the much-needed attention it requires with support from members of the Scout Group and local community.
There will be refreshments provided, music and laughs while we begin to restore our HQ to its former glory! These improvements will give the Young People at 1st Great Wyrley Scout Group and hirers within the community a HQ to be proud of - ensuring our standards remain high and our HQ complies with all regulatory requirements.
It's a party!
We want our HQ Work Party to be relaxed and fun - not just work. Whether you have specialised skills or can lend a hand cleaning up; whether it be for 1 hour, a full day or the full weekend, we need you!

What will happen?
Throughout the weekend, we will be looking at cleaning up the HQ, revamping the outdoor area, repurposing our storage facilities, maybe some painting and clipping cables to meet updated regulatory requirements.
We'll also have some music and refreshments available to liven up the party!
Then it's time to have some fun!
On the evening, when the sun sets, helpers are more than welcome to stick around, admire the work, ask questions and just socialise.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers, and it's for everyone. We go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. We make friends, have fun, play games, and work in teams.
