What does Scouting cost?

Scout Membership Fees

At 1st Great Wyrley Scout Group, our membership fees are £14.00 per person monthly. This is collected through Online Scout Manager (OSM).

You will not need to pay for the month you start at the Group! For example, if you start in September, you will not start paying until October.

Our membership fees cover our building running costs, consumables and meeting night activities. The fee also covers membership of The Scout Association, which includes member insurance, and critical central functions like safeguarding, vetting, and volunteer services and support.

Activities and Events

Outside of our weekly (term-time) sessions, we offer activities and events like camping, and day trips.

Activities and events are paid for separately, depending on if the Young Person wants to attend; however, we always try to keep our costs to a minimum, and high-cost trips usually allow for multiple payments spread over a payment plan.

Gift Aid

Please allow us to claim Gift Aid on your membership fees as it will increase our income at no cost to you. You can submit or update a Gift Aid declaration in OSM.
